Farmers’ and Laborers’ is Audrain County’s only policyholder-owned and operated Mutual Insurance Company. Farmers’ and Laborers’ prides itself in its longevity of service and celebrated its 130th Anniversary in April 2021!
Farmers’ and Laborers’ was organized and incorporated on April 6, 1891, as Farmers’ and Laborers’ Cooperative Insurance Association. On October 9, 1962, the Company amended its Articles of Incorporation and changed its name to Farmers’ and Laborers’ Cooperative Insurance Association of Audrain County.
Farmers’ and Laborers’ policyholders, employees, and Board of Directors meet for the Company’s Annual Meeting each February at the home office in Mexico, MO.
